Yes. Preserve® Plus® treated wood products contain built-in water repellent along with the preservative treatment. Products labeled Preserve® Plus® contain ACQ preservatives and a built-in water repellent.

Is the water repellent treatment in Preserve® Plus® a coating?
No. The water repellent in Preserve® Plus® treated wood is pressure-treated deep into the wood structure providing protection against the effects of weathering that is not just on the surface of the wood. This provides for better, longer lasting performance.

Are Preserve® Plus® water repellent products available for all wood species?
Southern yellow pine is the most widely available treated wood with the built-in water repellent protection of Preserve® Plus®. Most West Coast and Canadian species are more difficult to treat to an appropriate standard with preservatives that also contain water repellent. Therefore, Preserve® Plus® is not available in these species.
